Making an impact in someone's life can be as simple as giving valuable advice. Giving back to your local community can take a variety of forms, even if it's just sharing your gifts, and providing a free service such as "Free Haircuts".

This is the message of one Conyers barber shop owner who has added a day of free haircuts to the all the young boys at the local youth clubs in his community. His efforts are to mentor these young boys while in the shop with a little barber shop talk about life, lessons, and responsibilities. "If I can be an inspiration to at least one out of 10 young men to change their way of thinking, and set them on a positive path to adulthood It makes my role as a mentor, and elder fulfilled".

Major League Barbershop owner, Jerome Woods whom opened his business in Rockdale County, and currently resides in Conyers, Georgia, decided to give away free hair cuts in efforts to give back to his community, and at the same time mentor the male youth.

"I was driving to the shop and I saw a young man roaming the parking lot, it was clear that he hadn't had a haircut in awhile, and I thought to myself, if he looked the part maybe he'd get offered a job while going in, and out of these businesses", Times have changed, money seems to be getting tighter by the budget, and I know how hard it can be, a lot of families just can't afford even a simple haircut, and it's even harder on single moms" So, I decided to contact the local youth clubs in the area, and inform them that I would be providing free hair cuts to all young boys, young adults, and sons of single mothers".

The community of Rockdale county supports Jerome's business tremendously, he said, "I think it's only right that I give back my support to the young men of our community, and put forth my effort to making a difference".

In addition to giving free haircuts to the young men in his community, he also extends that same service to the local elderly, disabled, and veterans. With the help, and generous efforts of the barbers who also make Major League Barber Shop a success, the owner is confident the impact of their services will be great. He hopes that his efforts will encourage other businesses to also give back however they can just to show their appreciation, and support of the building up of their communities.
